Quality, Safety and the Environment
Three of Legor’s core values within our overarching perspective of Responsibility towards People and the Planet, which takes the form of a structured Integrated Management System.
It’s an approach that brings together our unfailing commitment to offering our customers first-rate products and services with a meticulous focus on protecting the health and safety of our staff, safeguarding the environment, and ensuring our activities are compatible with needs of the area in which we operate.
ISO Quality Systems
To this end, we integrate management systems that meet ISO standards and Lean methodologies into our day-to-day work and are committed to reducing our environmental impact by controlling our emissions. We achieve this by using minimal-impact packaging made of recycled and recyclable materials, implementing paperless logistics and production processes, sourcing renewable energy and recycled precious metals (Gold, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Silver). Today, we have extended our decision to use 100% precious metals from recycled sources to also include our non-precious metals (Silicon, Tin, Indium, Cobalt, Gallium, Germanium and Copper) for ISO 14021 certified products.

RJC membership and Code of Conduct
Since 2005, Legor has published its Code of Ethics, which testify to the principles that inspire us and our founding values. These are values that are deeply held by our founder, Gianni Poliero – values he has always shared, promoted and personally lived by. Formal recognition of our company’s ethics is demonstrated by Legor’s acceptance as a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council in 2011, of which the business has been a certified member since 2013. CoP – Code of Practice.
RJC Chain of Custody certification awards
In February 2021 we achieved RJC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification. This is a voluntary certification for RJC members that gives our customers and suppliers the assurance they need regarding how our precious metals have been sourced, tracked and processed through the supply chain. It provides a guarantee of the integrity of our products and materials.
But we elected to go beyond the usual standards, because our CoC certification applies to all the precious metals used in Legor Group S.p.A. This means all the gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium and silver we handle is 100% RJC CoC compliant. And it provides the further guarantee that all these metals are also 100% recycled.

Administrative Liability (legislative decree 231/01)
Italian Legislative Decree 8 June 2001, No. 231 introduced a sanction regime which establishes the liability of organizations, including joint-stock companies, for crimes committed in their interest or to their advantage by subjects in senior positions or by individuals being managed by others.
When implementing the provisions of this Decree, on 4th March 2015, the LEGOR GROUP S.p.A. Board of Directors passed a resolution to adopt its own Organisation, Management and Control Model (‘Model’), incorporating its Code of Ethics and associated Supervisory Body.
Through this Model, our Company declares its intention to:
- disseminate a culture which champions respect for the law and rules, transparency, ethics, and professional standards;
- guarantee the correct behaviour of our business and the people who represent us, in full compliance with external and internal regulations;
- clearly state that no illegal behaviour will be tolerated, even if committed in the interest or to the advantage of the company;
- govern all corporate decision-making and operations with a clear awareness of the risks deriving from potential criminal activities.
The achievement of these objectives takes the form of a coherent system of principles, and organisational, management and control procedures which go to make up the Model that the Company has set up and implemented.
All documents pertaining to the Model can be consulted here.
The Supervisory Body monitors the effectiveness and adequacy of the Model, reports on its implementation, approves the annual program of supervisory activities and communicates the outcome of activities carried whilst conducting assigned tasks.
Any reports regarding non-compliant behaviour made to the Supervisory Body are guaranteed confidentiality, without prejudice to any legal obligations.
Any information or report can be transmitted through the appropriate Whistleblowing section
Legality Rating
The legality rating represents a synthetic indicator of compliance with high legal standards by the business requesting it.
The requesting company obtains a base score of one star (★) if it complies with all the requirements set out in Article 2 of the Implementing Regulations on Legality Rating. The base score may be increased by a “+” for each additional requirement that the company abides by from those detailed in Art. 3 of the Regulation. Achieving three “+” recognitions results in the awarding of an additional star, up to a maximum score of three stars (★★★).
