Legor Stories

Our experiences reflect our values
  • “Sustainability is today a major issue. For us, it represents the way we have always conducted our business, and which we consider essential both to do our part to protect the environment and to ensure the wellbeing of the individual and the local community. It’s an approach that becomes a way of being, a key tool for promoting positive change, and the foundation upon which we build collaborations with partners, institutions, suppliers and colleagues.
For me, responsibility and an understanding of one’s role go hand in hand: it’s a concept I apply every day, including to the requests I’m asked to manage, where I always seek to align task needs with legal requirements, with the aim of fostering an increased culture of sustainability within the company. So being QHSE & Compliance Manager in Legor is a great honour. But it’s a role that brings with it great responsibilities, namely, to push for responsible change. It’s an unceasing task that needs continual revision, and the utmost focus.”

    INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY

    QHSE & Compliance Manager
  • “I’ve been a member of the Team since 2013. Over this time, I’ve have the opportunity get to know the many teams of people in Legor who work in synergy to ensure customer satisfaction.
For me “Customer Care” is a term whose meaning has changed and taken on greater significance over time. Initially I would have linked it to Customer Care linked strictly to the pre- and post-purchase phase. Today, however, for me, putting the customer centre stage means not only meeting their needs but building connections and relationships. Because sales shouldn’t be limited to mere publicity. It’s also about personal interactions between human beings: only in this way can brilliant ideas and innovative business projects flourish.
Finally, caring for customers is only possible with close collaboration internally too: if all departments and the people in them weren’t aligned and working towards shared goals, nothing would be possible! Because ultimately, caring for your customers is first and foremost about caring for your business.”

    CUSTOMER CARE
  • Marta Formenton
    Business Development Manager
    | Master Alloys and Plating Solutions |
  • Working in the Plating Laboratory I’m mainly involved in R&D: this ranges from formulating new solutions to improving existing processes to meet the requirements of our customers, branch offices, the market, and the world of fashion.
The main focus of my work therefore involves the ongoing search for new information, continuous experimentation, but also discussing and sharing knowledge with other team members. This, I think, is the essence of innovation. “

  • I think the concept of skills is the day-to-day combining of the ability to provide swift answers to colleagues and customers and a constant commitment to improving processes.

Working at Legor has given me the opportunity to apply the skills I learnt at school directly to the world of work, initially through my experience in the warehouse processing orders, before moving on to planning, where I’m my experience is growing every day. “

    EXPERTISE
  • Mattia Lorenzin
    Planning Specialist
  • “I see teamwork as synonymous with passion, enjoyment and responsibility. Mixing these ingredients together in my daily life and achieving the targets set is a challenge that requires respect for my co-workers and their particular characters, as well as responsibility in maintaining a clear focus on the end goal.
During my first year at Legor I had the opportunity to work with different teams from all over the world, mostly remotely. This helped me recognise that trust fundamental, but also a willingness to help and mutual understanding to overcome challenges together, whilst also making allowances for both the physical and cultural differences. But this is also the beauty of my job: I’m lucky to be able to continually discuss issues with someone who may seem ”different” from me because it represents a priceless opportunity for personal development.”
