Jewelry Design Project 2025–26 by IED kicks off: Legor and Pisa 1940 together for innovation and the education of tomorrow’s designers
This year once again, Legor renews its commitment to the innovative educational project Jewelry Design 2025–26 by IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, developed in collaboration with Pisa 1940, the historic and prestigious Milan-based luxury watch and jewelry boutique.
For this edition, students will be tasked with creating a 10-piece capsule collection inspired by the aesthetic and values of Pisa 1940’s Diade collection. The new line will represent a coherent extension of the collection, while introducing fresh formal and conceptual interpretations.
All pieces will be designed to be compatible with Legor’s 3D Metal Binder Jet printing technology, available at its innovative 3D Metal Hub, dedicated to additive manufacturing of precious and non-precious metal components. The project will highlight the full potential of this technology, including the possibility of producing movable components in a single print.
At the end of the course, two designs from each working group will be selected and produced by Legor, turning the students’ creative concepts into tangible prototypes.
The initiative aims to foster the creativity of the new generation of designers by providing access to Binder Jet technology, enabling unprecedented creative and production freedom.
A unique opportunity for future jewelry designers and a project that brings together heritage, contemporary design, and technological innovation — opening new perspectives for the future of the industry.
